Frequently Asked Questions About Our Drone Services
Is weather an issue?
As a drone pilot, schedule is determined by availability and, more crucially, weather conditions. Wind and rain not only pose a safety risk, but they also make capturing high-quality content difficult, if not impossible. I understand that nobody can control the weather, therefore my goal is to be as adaptable as possible. Also, I always check the weather before starting any project and typically contact the client if there are any problems.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve Northeast Wisconsin, including Green Bay and the Fox Valley, and Western Wisconsin, including Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, and the Chippewa Valley. Contact the local division to confirm coverage and travel for your project.
Can you fly near airports?
Typically, YES! As an FAA Part 107 Certificate holder, I can request permission
to fly in controlled airspace. This is not assured because the Air Traffic
Control Manager has the final say, but I have had few difficulty receiving
approval.
Please keep in mind that the approval procedure can take several days and that
applications must be filed at least 72 hours in advance.
How do you deliver the content?
Upon completion of your project, all deliverables are uploaded to a secure cloud storage platform (such as Dropbox). You will receive a private download link, allowing you to access your files conveniently and securely from any location. If you prefer an alternative delivery method, such as a flash drive, we are happy to accommodate your request.
What photo and video packages do you offer?
Basic Photo Shoot starts at $150 for 10 edited aerial photos. Standard Photo Shoot starts at $200 for 16 edited aerial photos. Basic Promotional Video starts at $250 for 30 seconds; Premium Promotional Video starts at $350 for one minute.
What does a starting price include?
Starting prices reflect the listed package. Final pricing depends on project scope and location. Travel and additional work are quoted separately. Editing is included unless stated otherwise; airspace authorization is included, subject to approval. Any on-site labor minimum applies only to on-site work, not standalone packages.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. All of our pilots hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, and we carry a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy for commercial drone operations. We can provide a certificate of insurance upon request for projects that require it.
